Alice in Wonderland

One of the most anticipated movies of 2010. A new step to CGI. A magical adventure. Is it really all of these things? Read on to find out.
This Tim Burton directed film has earned much mixed reviews all over the world. But is it really worth all of the praise. Well first, let's talk about the CGI and Special Effects. Let's get one thing straight. The special effects in this film are probably my 2nd favorite (behind Avatar). I mean its just JAW-DROPPING how BREATHTAKING it is. The big-headed Red Queen, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Death Bird, the Cheshire Cat,the Jabberwocky, and much, much more. But, you have to see this movie in 3D to fully experience this new take on Animation. Next, let's talk about the AMAZING acting! I would 1st like to give praise to Helena Bonham Carter who plays the evil Red Queen which shes plays so amazingly that this is probably her best performance ever! Another, is Johnny Depp who plays the crazy Mad Hatter. Depp is known for playing these weird roles (Edward Scisscorhands,Captain Jack Sparrow) and this part was probably such a match for Depp that if it wasn't played by him the movie would be incomplete. My Last Praise I'd like to give out is for Anne Hathaway who plays The White Queen and I actually think that that this is one of her better performances. Lastly, let's talk about the story. A 19-year old Alice returns to Wonderland which she first came to as a little girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course the Mad Hatter. Alice must embark on a fantastic journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queens reign of terror. To me, this new Alice story is a great new adaption to the Alice in Wonderland story and probably the best adaption yet.
To sum up my review "The Tim Burton directed Alice in Wonderland adaption is probably the best adaption yet and it takes a new step to CGI-Animation and I would give it a 9 and an A!" Peace!

Fantastic Mr. Fox

The Oscar-Nominated movie. Based on The Book by Rohald Dahl. Is this Clay-Mation movie as good as its hyped for? Well your just gonna have to read on to find out.
This Clay-Mation movie has earned a Oscar-Nom for Best Animated Feature but is it as good as critics and the Oscars say it is? First, lets talk about the Astonishing Animation. As you know from trailers and the posters it is not CGI-Animation but Clay-Animation is what this movie uses. As you probably know clay-animation movies arn't the highest grossers but tend to be really good. This movie is one of those. It takes a new step on Clay-Animation that could change that genre FOREVER! Next, lets talk about the Awesome Acting! I give praise to George Clooney who plays well The Fantastic Mr. Fox! He gives his character life, the movie its funnyness, and the movie its story. Great Job, George! And I think every actor/actress in this movie added there on special ring to it which made it Oscar-Nominated! Lastly, lets talk about the Superb Story! Mr. Fox is tired of the old fox life so decides to have one last heist, which he raids the 3 meanest farmers in the valley Boggis,Bunce, and Bean. They get furious and hatch up a plan to kill him and his friends. Mr. Fox and his wild animal buddies have to team up and get them once and for all. And I have got to say Clay-Mation is probably the best way to create this AMAZING story
To sum me review up "Fantastic Mr. Fox takes and new step on Clay-Mation and it my favorite Clay-Mation movie so far and I would give it a A- and a 9. Peace!

2012

This Highly Anticipated film has got many mixed reviews but is it worth watching? Lets let Rate-It-O-City decide that.

This movie is sure to thrill disaster movie fanatics because its from director Roland Emmerich (Godzilla,Independence Day),but does it thrill everyone? Lets get one thing straight this movie has got WICKED special effects galore (no wonder its budget was 200$ million) and that usually starts a great movie but it doesn't always. Another thing the acting is GREAT! It seems as if the world really is ending! I give praise to Woody Harrelson who plays Charlie Frost, conspiracy theorist disguised as Yellowstone hermit which he plays superbly with many jokes and just the weird outfit. Another person i give praise to is Chiwetel Ejiofor who plays Dr. Adrian Helmsley, scientific advisor to the President which he plays ever so seriously. Lastly, some people may think "Oh its just another disaster movie ther's no story at all to it" . Well think again people. The story is actually suprisingly good! It describes how Jackson Curits (John Cusack) has to get his family (Amanda Peet,Morgan Lily,Liam James, and Thomas McCarthy) from the destroyed California to China to get on these arcs away from Earth. The entire movie just decribes how painful and hard it is to survive Earth dying.

To sum it up "2012 is the best disaster movie ever and i would give it an A- and an 9. Peace!
