Based on the Best-Selling Book Series Guardians Of Ga'hoole. A new step in animation. Ladies and Gentlemen I present my review for LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS:THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE!
Warner Bros has done it again. This time with an animated movie about Owls. Why did I like it so much? Well here you go. First lets talk about the story. Before going to see this movie you should know its based on the first 3 books in the Guardians of Ga'Hoole Series:The Capture, The Journey, and The Rescue. Now you may think "Oh this movie is just about owls and it has no story at all". But if you think that then you are very very wrong. I was surprised at how rich in details and how amazing the story was. If I could describe it in one word it would be-Breathtaking. The story was just that good. It had true meaning. It showed Soren and his Friend's struggles to save their kingdom and what they came across trying to accomplish big feats. I was truly moved and felt lots of emotions while watching the film. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried when it seemed that Soren's younger sister had died. It's fantastic that in 90 minutes a story like that could be so touching and so good. Next, lets talk about the acting. Even though some of the actors are not well known I thought all of the voices were wonderful! I would like to give praise to Helen Mirren who voice the evil Nyra. Every time I heard her villainous voice I always got the chills. Next, I would like to give praise to Geoffrey Rush who plays secret hero Ezylryb. His ragged voice fit Ezylryb so much it was amazing. Lastly, I would like to give praise to Jim Sturgess who plays dreamer Soren. Jim's voice fit Soren so well that if another actor had voiced Soren I don't think I would like the movie as much! Lastly, lets talk about the visuals. Now this is my favorite part! This was one of the best animation I have seen in years! It was amazing! The animation made the owls look so real! One of my favorite parts though was the Slo-Mo affect. It was so cool! Every time there was a battle scene the would use Slo-Mo! Some might argue that too much was used but actually I was very fond of it. In one scene, two owls jumped into the air to fight, Slo-Mo kicked in, and slowly they moved forward to attack! It was amazing! Also, I think that you have not fully experienced this movie until you have seen it in 3D! Usually 3D is just a little thing that makes movies cost more to see but trust me this one was worth it! The battle scenes were great in 3D and so was the journey scenes! Its kind of like there is a great story and people can make it better just like 3D does to this movie! Before I Go, I want to say that Zach Snyder (this films director) has a wonderful movie and because hes so smart (otherwise he couldn't make a movie this good!) making a franchise would be a smart decision and I will definitely be first in line!
To wrap up my Review "Legend Of The Guardians:The Owls Of Ga'Hoole is one of the best animated movies I have ever seen and I hope they will make a franchise out of it!" I will give it a 10 and a A+!
