It's definitely going to be one of the big money makers of the summer and it might even raid some record books.

It's also gaining many web comments with 3,564 comments, 905 being positive and 121 being negative. It's trailer has been watched 17,448,522 times and it has generated 67,562 ratings. It should open strong this weekend, almost matching Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End's 115 million weekend opener. It should also have a pretty big final gross at the end of it's run too.
Kung Fu Panda 2, the memorial weekend opener, has been performing well in the Facebook index with 3,608,533 fans while it's just doing OK in the twitter index with 1,407 tweets. Panda's main audience is kids so that explains why it has not a lot of tweets or comments so don't put this out of the summer's top grossers. It should open pretty high thanks to the 4-day Memorial weekend and surpass the first Kung Fu Panda's gross.
